Latest Updates from Our Project:

One year ago today...

One year ago today, we launched the Kickstarter to make Yesterday Was Weird into a book. It's amazing how the time has flown and if you watch the video again, you'll see exactly how little I knew about publishing.

It's taken much longer than I projected, but I've learned a lot along the way and have done my best to keep you posted and share the little victories as they happened.

Latest victory: the team at well done DESIGN (http://well-donedesign.com) has finished their first layout! We'll meet on Monday to polish some of the details - where to put line breaks in the text, whether we need any additional artwork, and what the timeline looks like for finally bringing this whole project out of the ether and into your hands!

I'm very happy with how this edition is turning out, but one thing I've decided is that it will be the only time I print it this way. I will look for a publisher to help from here on.

That's a bridge we'll cross later, but the takeaway is this: your version is going to be unique!

If you know anyone who would still like to order one, they can do it here until we're ready to print: http://is.gd/TheBennyBook

Thanks again for your patience and support along the way. It has been a healing process for me and I hope it continues to help others for a long time to come.

And the font will be...

Option 1!

It got 198 votes, while option 2 got 106. I feel like the choice is clear enough we can make the call, push that domino, and watch the rest just fall into place! We will make sure the font is clear, the color combinations aren't challenging for the eyes, and the story shines through.

Please share the link with any friends who still might like to order a copy. We're getting soooooo close to the finish line!

Thank you all so much for weighing in, for your continued support, and for helping to make this happen.

I thought I was wrong... but I was wrong.

Sorry for the barrage of emails tonight. It turns out the updated version did send, but my browser lied.

The second message you got with the images was the correct one, with each one clearly labeled.

Let's all converge over there and finalize the vote. Click here:

And if you'll join me in a moment of nostalgia... here's a photo a friend of mine just found of Benny and one of his favorite people when she was very little.

Here's to sweet babies, good dogs, rich lives, and great memories.

"I love you so much..."
"I love you so much..."

Correction! Vote here for your favorite font!

This is why it's good to have everyone looking over my shoulder: I reversed the order. Doh!

So here we go, in the proper order and labeled better. Please vote for Option 1 or 2 in the comments below.

Option 1:

 Option 2:

p.s. Something is still going wrong, so you may see another image below this line. Ignore it if you do...

Something has gone wrong...

For some reason, Kickstarter won't let me post a new update from my computer. First it was adding extra images for no good reason. Then when I finally hit "publish," it gave me a 404 "page not found" error.

So... I can't fix the mess up from the last post, which was that the top image is Option 2 and the bottom image is Option 1.

Frustrating, but... we shall endeavor to persevere! Please make sure your vote in the last post was for the correct number.

Thank you!
